Ok, first you're dismissive of the thread because it has a photo in it. Not an uncommon practice here, to post photos as a means providing extra information to the forum. What if the OP was just a verbal description of the C12 in question? Folks surely would have asked for pix.
Now, you're asking why we're all "mad". I'm not sure if anyone is "angry", per se. I'm seeing a blend of annoyed/amused.
And then we have the brickwall semantics of "its just a photo". Right. Its a photo of an expensive mic that seems to to be badly out of position. Which has inspired a conversation about what possible reasons there could be for the placement of the mic. I liked signorMars' bit about Bono, personally. Seriously, didn't you think that was funny? I know my day got a little brighter when I read it. C'mon, tell me you didn't chuckle when you read it.
Or is this whole thread tearing you up on the inside? Its just a photo, right? You don't have any reason to be emotionally attached to the subject of this particular studio, do you?
Prog out with your cog out.

I think he knows some that has to do with that studio, or he has something to do with it.

Also, am I nuts, or is it a decently established trend where pro control = no brain?
Ok, is this normal? There is a "real" studio in town with HD and a Pro-control. About six months ago someone brought me a track that they had mixed there to see if I could remix it. Man, was it bad. I mean it was terrible. And I am not a great recording master, just an "illegitimate hobbyist". But it was like they didn't even try to mix the song?

(I know this is just a broad generalization, but it still struck me as funny.)

All I can think of is that photo of Stevie Wonder holding his mic upside down, I wish I could find it.
