Are parts compatible between Otari 5050 BII and MKIII - 1/4" 2-track?

Actually, are parts interchangeable between BII, BIII and MKIII 1/4" 2 track recorders?

You could call
Otari in LA and ask. I'm not sure how much of a U.S. office they have these days, 'cause that web page seems different than before, but it's worth a shot.
They may also have parts for sale . . .

I'm glad I found this before the auction on a 5050 II-F ended, apparently it's mono full track:
http://classes.berklee.edu/mpe/pdf_file ... 050b2.pdf- page 4 lists BII types
