I use an app called 'traders little helper' to convert most everything. It might not do ogg though.

ogg is an open source compressed audio format. I use linux and all of the players play ogg. If you are on windows I believe winamp plays them. Also, rockbox running on an ipod or other player will play ogg files. They recently came up with an oga and ogv for audio and video respectively, but it looks like not all of the players are dealing with this yet.

use foobar2000

never ask this question again

because foobar plays EVERYTHING, without requiring you to ask anywhere, or download plugins. in a smaller package than any other program.

take your life back. :)

I did in 2003, and never looked back.

MPC/musepack, FLAC, APE/monkey's audio? It plays it.

Vorbis is a better codec than MP3 in every way by virtue of being modern.
