Hi Couser and All,
I checked with the machine shop, they have the outer shell and insulator materials, but are still waiting on the center contact pin material, so before Christmas doesn't look likely. Hopefully a few days after.
Couser, thanks for the kind words, every so often I come up with a good one
As soon as I get them from the machine shop I will post here, then set up the purchase thread.
I hope you All have a safe and enjoyable Holiday,
Chip

Sooo....
this works with the 991 body as well??
The 603 is almost the same.
I'm def interested in buying 1.
I noticed that there are some that just screw on like the Gefell M8, will this one work as well?
Any issues with compatibility??
Like I said the beak is wet. Please count me in for 1 adapter.
Peace
Illumination

Hi,
I posted this on the other place:
Hi,
The compatible capsules are any AKG CK series capsules, CK1,CK2,CK4,CK5,CK8,CK9,CK22,CK26,CK28... . and any Bayonet style capsule, Neumann M7,M8,M9, and B.L.U.E. or RED Bayonet style capsules, and I think Violet had a Bayonet style capsule, or the B.L.U.E. and RED " Lollipop" capsules that were made to fit AKG CK series Mics, 451, C60,C61, C28.
As far as other mic body's, any mic body that has the same diameter and thread pitch as the MXL 603s, it should fit, but you would have to check and see if it has the same center contact pin set-up as the MXL 603s.
Hope that clears up a few things, and thanks again for the kind words.
Not sure on the 991, I dont have one to test
Thanks,
Chip

Hi All,
The machine shop go the rest of the material in, and stated possibly next Tuesday or Wednesday, then I have to pick them up and then get the payment and ship them out.
In all fairness, I have decided to close the sale to any more " Interested " people. I only have enough material for the number of adapters you all have specified so far. If there are " extras" I will make them available, and if there are enough people how show " Interest" after the sale, I might make another run of them.
When I get the Adapters from the machine shop, I will post here first to let everyone know I have them, then post the sale in Buy/sell/trade with PayPal info.
Thank you All so much,
Chip

Hi,
illacov , I think think the 991 (as stated further down the thread), is the same mic body, however I don't have one to see if the center pin contact is the same.
The only M8 capsules I know of are the ones for the CMV563, M8s, screws on the the CMV body same as the M55k stock capsule, But the CMV kits came with a neumann " B/G" adapter to use the M7,M8,M9 bayonet capsules, the Bayonet M7,M8,M9 will fit My adapter.
The Mod I did on my 603s was a take-off of sorts from the the Royer Mod. I copied the circut out of my AKC C60 and used the N60 PSU to test the mic. Then built its own PSU , one with the Lundall Trans that David Royer spec'd and one with a C60 trans made by Oliver at AMI.
Here are some Pics of the MXL 603s and 2001s I modded

Thanks,

Hi
prklem, Yes, I am afraid you are too late, I will refund your payment, However, you are on the list for any leftover and if anyone backs out.
I will wait till the end of the week for payment, after that I will make any not paid for available to the people that didn't make it before the cutoff.
I am also considering a second run at the machine shop.
Thanks for the support,
Chip
