Home Studio Pictures

Post by homestudiogallery » Sat Dec 06, 2008 1:56 pm

If you are like me, you like to look at other people studios. Maybe for fun or to get ideas for your space. But to search through google images can be frustrating. Thats why i've started:

http://www.homestudiogallary.com/

Its a free site where you can look at others peoples spaces and post pictures of your own studio and give a little write up about it. I just launched the site so i look forward to checking out your studio.

I am pointing this out to help you, not to be a dick (take it as you will): Why is your url misspelled "gallary" instead of the correct "gallery"? When I correct the typo in the address bar I get nothing, as in 'no such page'.

Sorry if that's a dick thing to point out, just trying to help. Good luck with the site. We all like to look at lurid pictures of other people's stuff.

Actually that was on purpose. I bought multiple spellings of the domain name. For some reason this miss spelled version, "A" rather than "E" is the first one that i am able to use. Once the others clear everything will redirect to www.homestudiogallery.com. I was hoping no one would catch it in the mean time. Good Eye!

So everyone needs to post there pics to the site to get it going. This, i hope, will become a great resource for people to see what others are doing.

Not that I am a complete purist, but too many of the "studios" on this gallery site consist of a desk, a sampling keyboard, and a computer. Perhaps I am just a humbug, but where are the boards? The racks of gear? the drum sets? Oh, more and more I miss the "good ol' days"...

There would be more boards and gobs of rack gear if the people who owned the boards and gobs of gear would send in photos! :D

Typos galore. I know I'm not the best typer/grammarer but it's a bit of a turnoff when there are glaring misspellings in the one paragraph on the home page.

FYI, I use a board and rack gear, and I just posted pics of my residential studio. I'm am old school, but sold all my tape decks for DAWs. However, I work with bands, and I just couldn't get comfy with the 'controller with preamps' route, so I set the studio up like it is. I mix ITB only when I have to, I much prefer the analog system.
