I buy & play Zildjians because they are made in the USA. I usually buy used B-20 Zildjians because I have found that if a cymbal is going to crack, it will do it in the first few years. Also B-20 formula cymbals will change sound in the first few years. I have a couple of Pawn shops I check about once a month & they will sometimes call when they get some cymbals they think I might like. I have had a couple of Zildjians that I liked when I bought them new & in a couple of years they just didn't sound right to me.
So try used Zildjians, save $$ & get a great sounding cymbal!!

I like Bosphorus. Real Zildjian style cymbals that don't cost much and use the same alloy and manufacturing process. I love their Masters series.

I'm a big fan of the Bosphorus stuff too. If my music wasn't such slash-and-burn kinda stuff I'd be all over Bosphorus like a coat of cheap cymbal polish. Nice complex tones that would wind up kinda lost in a punk-rock context.

*Sigh* Someday I'll find a way to tone things down. And when I do, it'll probably sound boring to everyone but me.

Zilds all the way. Changed over about 10 years ago, never going back.
No Gear and decent Ears, and a few things in Between.
