Well, the health wishes are sincere, the actual post number is arbitarary, and I actually have heard only one song off Chinese Democracy which was while getting our car's oil changed.
As for your analog opus, I'm picturing a softly faded in Em pad followed by Malmsteenesque classical runs that finally settle into a nice ostenatto repeating pattern over which you run the sx-150 through a whammy pedal for counterpoint.

sorry, sorry...my mind isn't all here.
operating on 2 hours of sleep and waiting for the roofing guy to finish remedying the botches committed by his sheet metal subcontractor...whereupon he will demand something close to $9k from me.

every hipster with a macintosh has a noise band which consists of
1 Mac running some playskool software
2 Microkorg with or without the vocoder mic
3 kaos pad that is on sale at musicians friend.
The really hip ones have some boutique pedals.
extra points for white belts and Chrome bags.

here's 5 minutes of meandering warble-fest replete with more and more effects as i go along.
in the process i discovered my IPS-33B has mysteriously bit the dust.

Thanks Ref!RefD wrote:here's 5 minutes of meandering warble-fest replete with more and more effects as i go along.
Unbiased review:
My favorite part is where the early atari mosquito phone ring becomes a simulated feline atrocity then becomes a futuristic jailbreak siren that becomes an early devo intro that becomes a passing ambulance
morphing into the opening chord to "jump" all while never losing the moody atmospherics of a desolate kitchen table.
In short it sounds like a totally fun little box for not a lot of cash or assemblage.

I'm glad to see somebody talking about this weird little box- I've had mine for a few months.ballpein wrote:That is as cool as boobs. Thanks a lot refd.
could this thing be rigged up to receive notes by CV?
There is a cv in (1/8") on the front panel. I've seen videos on youtube demonstrating the gakken synth with the Mini-theremin kit plugged into the "ext" input.

that's not CV, that's pitch to voltage and really only works with a square wave (pulse) input.segaface wrote:I'm glad to see somebody talking about this weird little box- I've had mine for a few months.ballpein wrote:That is as cool as boobs. Thanks a lot refd.

What is the effect at the end that makes it sound like a two-oscillator synth? Just delay? Sounds good anyway.RefD wrote:here's 5 minutes of meandering warble-fest replete with more and more effects as i go along.

chorusing.
that's most of what makes the Juno 60/106 sound as good as it does.
