What do you what to do to it?
I have a large collection of junk mics that get used for special effects and wacky EQ/filtered sounds (instead of EQing and filtering a clean sound). I haven't met cheap mic that isn't useful for something but I never expect them to be more than what they are. Junk.

Well I am not thinking I can turn one of these into a Neuman mic or anything. But I would like to first get inside one of the 3 I have and get them to work again.Hoping its just a lose solder case.If its something else what would that be? and is it fixable?
I wanna use them as a stereo pair over drums just as an experiment.I was wondering if there is anything that could be done to them to make them more responsive ?

The first thing you should try to improve the sound is to get rid of any superfluous foam and mesh. The outer layer should be all that's left.

Ok that would be a good idea If I could get inside these things
Anyone can recomend a way to split a plastic case so it can be glued back together?

Maybe a dremal tool with a cutoff wheel? Honestily, you might be better off getting it apart, then putting it back together in something else, maybe a pvc pipe?

there has to be some tool out there along the lines of an electric knife. like a really sharp one that is plugged in and has a knob to control how hot it gets.

maybe i am fantasizing here, but if it's just the right temp, you would be able to cut the thing open pretty smoothly and epoxy it back together once you're done fixin'.
