Any word on Potluck Con 2009?---interesting news!
I haven't heard anything about the conference this year. Has anyone heard any info?
I heard from a few folks that it's not going to happen this year; the numbers weren't working. But I am far from an authority on the matter... maybe others have more concrete info...

Serious drag
I hope the convention continues. It was an amazing event and really worth attending.

Hey Hey!
Nothing official, but I'm hearing the same. Quite disappointing. Perhaps some smaller, regional get-togethers? I might have something in the works for Chicago... More later...
Meanwhile, this is all the more reason for some "Beer Nights" and doubling up on efforts in local organizations such as EARS in Chicago. (shameless plug)

yeah +1 on the local beer nights. i just hosted one this past week at my space in Richmond VA. Had a handful of great folks come out, and have more onboard for future meets, and we are definitely planning on making it monthly thing as much as we can. it's a good way to network, meet new people, get opinions on current projects, and be the big gear nerds that we are. if anyone is ever in town or nearby when we do this again, all are of course welcome. I've also seen recent posts for beer nights in Philly, Milwaukee, Nashville, and of course from you fine folks in Chicago. so do it up folks, its totally worth it.
the tape is rolling, the ones and zeros are... um... ones and zeroing.

That's how I felt at the '07 Con - like a happy geek with his name tag around his neck. "My name is Kenny and I'm a TOMB-Geek!"mjau wrote:That could've been us, recycled brains. All happy and on our bike, going to PotLuckCon.
But I had a lot of fun and learned so much.
