This goes under the heading: "I Should Know This By Now" and also: "It Really Sucks How ProTools Has Many Mysterious, Rarely Used Quickeys That're Easily Engaged by Accident During Sessions"
Ahem
So, I touched some key combination somewhere's by accident, and now every time I hit Play on the transport, the Play button blinks a 4-count before the song starts playing. There's gotta be an easy way outa this, but I haven't found it...
HALP!

Sounds like a pre-roll. Try Apple-K or look on your transport and see if the pre-roll button is lit.
Mmm, lung butter.

Yep... That was it... I actually noodled it and figured it was on the transport somewhere, and right I was... Don't know what the hell I did to turn it on in the first place...
