Ambassadors FTW.

I can't seem to ever get what I want out of Evans heads in the studio. Put on an Ambassador and there's your attack and tone for days. I end up changing them more often, but it's worth it. Live is a whole different story.

PS. I mostly do rocks stuff so YMMV.
Mmm, lung butter.

So, for the same kick drum (which I believe is actually a maple/mahog kick, not full maple) what do y'all prefer for resonant heads (with a hole).

I have used the Superkick quite often, and have gotten a good sound out of it. I have a 22" maple kick made with kellar shells....
