Any free VST Voliume plugins?

Post by E-money » Sat Feb 07, 2009 2:29 pm

Does anybody know of any free VST volume plugins?

I'm working on a mix in Sonar 2.0, and I'd like to get it a little bit louder.
What I'd like to do is raise each of my busses a few db, but some of them have automation. I figured if there was a free volume VST, I could create a 2db preset, apply it to each of my busses, mixdown and see if this improves or degrades the mix.
Any ideas?

Can't you just raise the master stereo bus a few db?
Seems much easier.

Unfortunatley, the ability to send multiple busses through a final "master stereo buss" doesn't appear to have come alongs until sometime after Sonar 2.

Do the busses have trim?

No. Individual tracks have volume and trim, busses have volume only.

What's wrong with turning down (or up) the output on the last plugin already existing on the bus? Don't all plugin's have the ability to function as a volume plugin - some even on bypass...?

Blue Cat Audio has a free "gain suite" should work nicely. Their frequency analyzer is pretty cool too.

This is CRAZY!! So, you can't send one bus into another? So, you cannot insert a compressor across your whole mix? Whoa.
