Is there a substitute for WAVES Renaissance Bass/MaxxBass?
Hey . . .
Is there any other plug that does the same trick as the WAVES bass plugs?
Basically, they seem to generate overtones which are multiples of the superlow stuff, so that the bass end of a mix shows up better on small speakers.
I used to have Maxxbass and it performed as advertised -- not the same thing as using EQ somehow. However, WAVES looks to be a pita to deal with these days, so no burning itch to re-buy the real thing.
I have Cubase 4 and Sonar 7, haven't really gone through all the onboard effects. Or I could buy something.
Thanks for any thoughts.

I know this thread is a little old, but I wanted to give love to Mix Saturator. I use it on snare all the time. Love Mix Saturator.pk wrote:+1 PSP MixBass.
I also use the PSP MixPressor and MixSaturator, it's all in the bundle, along with MixTreble.
By far one of the best purchases I've ever made, plugin wise...
