Never owned one but just heard it over at my friend's studio.
Amazing.

Ok, so I now have both the Solo 610 and the Summit Audio 2BA-221.

I haven't really had a chance to dig into the 610 yet, so I'll post again on that when I get a chance to put it through the paces. I just recorded some guitar demos for a friend to test out the Summit. Very much as reviewed by others, flexible with plenty of character. Sounded great for guitar leads. Playing around with the balance between mic gain, output and impedance offered a lot of tonal options. Pushing the mic gain up gave the single note leads a little squelchy harmonic distortion and a touch of controlled feedback. Using more output gave the leads a clear, chimey punch. Playing around with the sweepable impedance allowed me to push the guitar tone from a more soft, warm sound to a hard bite. Definitely very distinctive but versatile. I just scratched the surface with the Summit so far, but I really like it. I'm eager to try it on more sources.
