That sounds pretty swell, unfortunatly I don't think I'd trust my car on to get that far.

I suppose I could take a train to St. Louis...?

Well I live in Elgin, which is NW of Chicago. So I'd probably have to take the train into Chicago to get a train out to St. Louis.

Are you going, drumsound?

Ok I'm looking into taking a bus there...problem is I have very little money. Does someone have a car I could sleep in?

I just really think this would be a good thing for me to go to, but money is super tight these days as I was just 'laid off' ( im now on a week to week basis) from one of my jobs.

I will see you folks there this weekend! It'll be great to meet up with you, Tony. I was just telling a friend about how you spent the time talking me thru my decision of getting a 2" machine. Very cool times. And...I have a big surprise to share with everyone... Till then!
And Artifex, shoot me a pm. I'll see if we can work something out, man.

Made it back today around 3:30. I had a great time all around. It was great to meet Tony and Mark Rubel, and to see Tony and Chris Mara laying it down on oxide in the college's studio A. I'm without words to describe how amazing it was to look ahead and see Mr. Phil Ramone talking about his past, and him and Frank Filipetti trading opinions on music and recording techniques and philosophies. I learned a bunch at the seminars I attended, and was inspired to run home and get busy with this recording thang.
