Hmm, a lot of people using the 160vu on drums, that kind of surprises me. I guess my method of turning the attack time all the way up and then crushing everything doesn't work so well when you can't turn the attack time up...:oops:

I guess I need to give them another chance and go easy on the threshold this time.

Oh btw, I had them set at 3:1 and was doing upwards of 10dB GR on big snare hits and crashes. They were ticking bad on big transients. And I don't think the VUs have an over easy setting, that's just on the single rack space ones.

with the VU (ive got a 161 but its pretty much the same) I definatly prefer it to be barely on... LED just flickering.

I love it on pretty much everything when used that way.
