I just picked one of these up. Haven't been able to check it out yet. Maybe this weekend. Anyone use one? What are your thoughts? Any tips in terms of uses and such?

I have one. The output on mine is pretty low so there might be something wrong with it. But, I did use it to get an "old timey" kind of sound one some stuff. Worked fine for that.

crazy mic for drum squashing
really cool looking and old sounding.

I have one. It sounds like a 635a with slightly different high end (it's a little more rolled off). I don't use it all that much but it's good in a pinch as a drum heart mic or room mic.
