Sony 7506 Replacement earpads

Post by danno2 » Thu Jun 11, 2009 8:36 am

I recently got Beyer's velour replacement pads for 3 old sets of my Sony 7506 phones and I gotta say these are just KILLER fixups for your old phones that the earpads have shredded on ( as they all eventually do )

They're made for the beyer DT 250's but fit the 7506's perfectly. The bass response seems improved ( or pehaps just returned) and the cloth velour finish, which I find more comfortable to wear long term, does away with "hot ear" syndrome.

Highly recommened to make your old phones look, sound and feel like new again. They are a little more pricey than the stock Sony pads, but I think well worth it. The part # is Beyerdynamic 942704 ( do you own google search to find them)

great tip I wonder if they will work with the V6's and V600's as well?
My V600's were fine until they touched somebody's pomade (greasy hair stuff).
then the almost decade old vinyl or whatever it is just crumbled.
This has been on my laundry list of boring things I need to upgrade fro a couple of years now.
That and a better damn chair!

Google isn't actually turning up a vendor (with them in stock) for me. Where'd you get yours?

Would fit the V6's, they're identically sized to the 7506, the 600's are differently sized, may or may not fit.

I got them at B&H Photo earlier this year, but I see now they are currently out of stock. You can click a link on the site for them to notify you when they're in stock again.

Audio Technica manufacturers the 7506 for sony. You could call them for replacements.
