I want to know how the hell you people are breaking cable ends. Any cable ends? Are your studios also being used as body shops, or for missile testing?

I can see in a live situation, but I could buy the crapiest hosa xlr cable they sell, and I guarantee that the ends would last for decades in my studio. Not saying that cable quality isn?t important, but I cant think of a studio situation where people are going through xlr cables.

Maybe I should start breaking cable ends, so I can upgrade my cable collection

BTW I prefer Switchcraft (I like purple)

I think at some point we learn how to properly roll up a cable. Soon after we learn that a properly rolled cable can be thrown. Hold one end in your hand and throw the roll to the destination. It uncoils perfectly if you do it right.
This may be a bad habit from my live sound years. But in general I have way more problems with cables getting pinched by cabinets, doors, feet etc. The connectors last years, if not decades.

purple? isnt the insulator green or I think it was brown on older ones.

Oakland does have many flavors, but I lived in Piedmont and in West Oakland so I guess I?ve seen the gamut.

The most metheads I've ever seen in a square mile radius has to be Antioch, or maybe Martinez.

Wow sorry so off topic. .
