I can't think of a single thing I record I hate so much as to use a u47 on it.

Hey Hey!

Ah, those old 47s aren't so bad. If it's all I've got to work with I just take the transformer out and it opens right up.

yeah - i'd replace that asap. the tube is SHITE in those old ones.

the new apex ones have really nice tubes for that "radio" sound.
the new rules : there are no rules
