Rod, those are exactly the same conditions under which my amp would redplate. And the only condition that would remedy it was to put in a more robust tube than a 6L6GC. I was almost ok with just running the amp on standby for the proper amount of time (which I do anyway), but I felt that one mistake with this could end up cooking the tubes.
