Patch bay question...

Post by LeedyGuy » Sat Oct 24, 2009 11:36 am

I want to hook up my patch bay to split my signals to 2 different places but I'm not sure about quality of signal loss. I have a mackie CR1604 (the CR is for CRaptastic) that I want to use just for monitoring because my MOTU 828 is a pain for monitoring in a way.

I have a NYS-SPP-L patch bay.

IF I run BALANCED out of the back of the bottom of the patch bay to my 828 inputs and then run UNBALANCED snake lines out of the top of the back of the patch bay to my Mackie for monitoring, will I lose quality to the 828 by running balanced and unbalanced?
