Pro tools hd8 question

Post by jdm5149 » Sat Nov 28, 2009 9:17 pm

Hi there. New to HD. With other versions I could insert a gtr sim on a track and and play thru no problem. With my new hd8, I insert the eleven plugin and when I press input or record to monitor it the plugin automatically goes into bypass. Do I have to put it thru an aux input to monitor it live. Never happened in previous versions. Any suggestions

just put a TDM plug before it, like a 1 band EQ as a low cut or something... then you can monitor through RTAS plugs as well.

Hey. John. Thanks again. Guess I need to read the manual. :)

And then I just text you about getting tea in the morning and you have already figured it out on your own anyway.

If the plugin is only RTAS, that is why you have to do the eq plugin trick.

If you can upgrade to the TDM version, which allows you to monitor the effect in realtime with less delay.

Cheers

Not to be critical but the lack of posts like the above are what I like about TOMB.
