Wurli harp help

Post by blackdiscoball » Wed Jan 13, 2010 12:59 pm

So I got my wurlitzer 112 apart, cleaned, and started putting it back together and ran into a snag I was hoping someone who's worked on these before might be able to help me get out of... When I went to put the harp assemble back in and tightened the bolts down it seems to be to far away from the hammers? It seems to me I either put the hammer/whip assemble in wrong, or the harp and I took a bunch of pictures before and as I took it apart and it seems like I'm putting it all together right? Anyone got any advice on doing this I'd love to hear it? Thanks.

I have a wurli, though haven't had to deal with your issue. You might check youtube, where "vintagevibekeyboards" has posted videos of a variety of Wurli fixes, such as:

At least you might find some images for comparison.

Thanks, yeah I've seen all those they made. Some what helpfully except they are all the 200 and mines an older model so things are different.

Yeah, I wondered whether the model would make a difference. But wouldn't the action be similar enough that you could work out how it's supposed to fit together?
