I had a 4050 and sold it, it failed the "key jingle" test. I like the UM70 too, that and a good ribbon plus some dynamics would be pretty good. But it's true, I wouldn't want to mix 24 tracks recorded with the UM70.

Don't overlook the small, cheap Electrovoice EV10, EV11, etc also the ES78 shure clones are great mics at 1/3 the price of a Shure.
