I've been trying to figure out why this little thing is so quiet. I only have luck getting a good signal out of it if I run it through pedals or a DI first.

By the way, it sounds super fat running through a Sansamp Bass DI.

Yeah, it's tiny and the output level is less than ideal, but run it through a DI or a mic pre and you're golden. A lot more low end available than you'd expect.
