Bottles:Not permitted in the Jungle according to GNR!

Post by rocky » Thu Sep 02, 2010 5:04 pm

This has made a big splash in Ireland today, not sure if USA has picked up on it/cares about it. I thought it was funny.

Guns N Roses in Dublin last night.

They've been showing up really late on stage recently, 85-90 minutes late.
I think they went on three and half hours after doors opened, with no support act last night. Dublin wasn't having any of it.

My two favourites are the guy shouting "f**k off" when the woman calls for hush
and the girl starting the "refund" chant.

Apparently 70% of the crowd left and then they played on.

What douchebags (GNR). There's a difference between building up to a great show and just being disrespectful to their fans. Me personally I think sounds so bad these days and stunts like that if I thought I needed to see GNR live I'd just settle for a cover band or YouTube. Though is this really any different from their live track record anyway?

Oh, I though there was something new...

I was wrong.

A friend of mine worked for them a while back.

He walked after 1/3 of the tour... why?

Someone stole drugs from his medical kit. Oops.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

No opening band catching themselves on fire either, huh?

What jackasses.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I just found out a while back from a reliable source that apparently Axl has this thing for kicking people in the nuts. I thought it was ironic, considering I've always wanted to kick Axl in the nuts.

I can't even imagine paying that much money and then waiting for three hours to hear such Horseshit.

At this point in history, isn't paying money for a Guns 'N Roses ticket kind of the same thing as falling for a Nigerian 419 scam? Sure, we all feel a bad for the elderly and feeble minded who get tricked by this sort of thing; on the other hand, if you're an otherwise mentally capable person it's just an expensive lesson that you're learning about your own hubris.

That is pure genius, Jim.

I think this topic is closed.

Mr Rose is apparently competing with Lauryn Hill to see who can be the biggest cunt in popular music.

Well, this year's Courtney Love and Sly Stone faiscos have got to be in the running, too.

I remember once seeing a "Behind the Music" episode on VH1 about G-n-R. What stood out most to me was that the episode only ran 30 minutes instead of the usual hour.

It was basically about how the band immediately started to implode as soon as they hit it big.

That one's good, but it lacks the fireworks of the classic Bill Bailey onstage meltdown:

Source of one of the greatest rock douchebag quotes of all time.

A couple of years ago, I watched a drunken/possibly rolling frat-boy who was in front of me at a Black Crowes show lob a bottle at Chris Robinson. They stopped the show and the frat boy was summarily ejected.

Best part? Chris: "Why is it that every time there's some bullshit, it's always a guy with clean-cut hair and a baseball cap instead of someone who looks like me?"

re: that clip, can i just say how much i hate matt sorum's playing? i believe the quote is "he wouldn't swing if you hung him."

Isn't it common knowledge that GNR always goes on a couple hours later?
