Where do you keep your mic stands?

My tracking room doubles as a living space, and I need to keep my mic stands out of sight sometimes. I suppose I could always stuff them all in a closet... But I'm curious to see what creative an innovative solutions my fellow Tape Op'ers have come up with.

50 gallon long plastic container, a la rubbermaid or similar.

About 20 bucks at your local hardware store. Fits all 14 of my standard mic stands and three of the short weighted ones, plus some cables too.

we used to carry them to gigs in a golf bag. Now I have a bag for camera tripods that i use to haul a few around.

I got some plastic lawn flamingos and now I just store my mic stands in the front yard - nobody even knows they are there. I use the short ones on drums and guitar amps.

My tracking room is also my living space.. I've got our few bikes hanging from the ceilings via a pully system, and other hooks, lofts here and there for storage and sleeping... trying to use the available space best as possible.. luckily! i do have a rather large iso booth. something like 9.5 bay 7 or something like that.. and it becomes a large closet when not recording.... a pain in the ass to empty it out and find homes for everything when tracking.. but at the same time, its what I got to do to make this place as chameleon as possible.

I have a softball bat/gear bag that I use if I take them out of the house. Similar solution to the golf bag, but soft-sided.

I bought this package for live sound. We do a lot of Punk/heavy metal shows where things get rough and I wanted some cheap stands. About half of the stands have survived 4+years (I have replaced the clips with the flexable plastic that lasts much longer)

The Gem is the bag, it is pretty durable. (Hope they havnt changed it)
