The Obama eye-twitch

Post by @?,*???&? » Thu Oct 14, 2010 9:53 am

I've been working long days here for about a month and have got one of these going in the corner of my right eye.

Anybody else get this from studio work?

I'm thinking I just need sleep- or to cut down on the caffeine, but...

My right thumb starts to twitch after 30 days of solid work. Even before the "mouse" entered the studio!

lol

See I worry about stuff like this and think it's Parkinson's disease or something.

I noticed Obama had the twitch going through most of his pre-election run...

I get some twitches that are just like my Grandmas. Mostly when overtired.

It's a genetic thing where the brain fires off at will...

Yay... :(

At least I hope I get really really old before it becomes ridiculous.

I would recommend bananas, and sleep.

Cheers

I can't stand bananas. I like the fried chip ones and plantain too!

I always think of Herbert Lom as Dreyfus in the Pink Panther when somebody mentions eye twitching. Then I think of Bananas. The Woody Allen movie, not the fruit.

there are other good sources of potassium: sweet potatoes, orange juice, yogurt...

i've had the same eye-twitching problem too. the doctor i asked about it said the biggest culprits are stress, caffeine, and not enough sleep.

I'm guess the OP may be experiencing the side effects of mixing too many Whitesnake records.

Whitesnake and the Obama Eye Twitch...

Post by Gregg Juke » Fri Oct 15, 2010 5:24 pm

"Twitch in the eye, twitch in the eye, twitch in the eye..." (to the tune of "Still of the Night").

Anyway, Jeff, my wife had that going a few weeks ago (for a couple of weeks!), but it eventually stopped. Overtired, overworked is what you are.

Congrats on the coffee.. I try and keep it at two cups... Of course I also make it a point to see as little of the filter as possible when I make said coffee... We are a rather lively bunch at work once we've had our coffee.

But yes.. Potassium.. and sleep. Do your best to have one day off a week.
