Roland V-Drums, Midi and EZ Drummer on Reaper?

Post by Rolsen » Fri Nov 26, 2010 12:42 pm

I'm soliciting reality checks for those who've gone down a similar path. I'd like to use my v-drums, via Focusrite Saffire Pro 40's midi to write/record drums on Reaper. I think I'd be fine using software without hundreds of thousands of tweakable parameters, and EZdrummer seems to be heavily advertized. Is is relatively simple to choose a kit on EZdrummer, play it via V-drums, and later manipulate it (ie quantize, cut/paste, etc) in Reaper?
