The 19A19 looks completely different without the gigantic pop screen thingy on it. The original shockmount has a threaded section in the back, so it sits way to the back of the mic, like where the mini tuchel thingy connects to the body. Its a true Tube LDC, but at one point they looked too much like front address, handheld mic's I guess so they were incredibly inexpensive and Albini bought like 97 of them at that point.
They sound really nice on many things, sort of like a cross between a C12A and something else expensive... with a really killer low mid character that is unlike any other mic I have used or owned, which is many at this point in my life.
Its a cool one.
They have gotten expensive because so many people know they are snazzy these days. I had a few over the years, but I currently dont own one.

no, those would be Ampex 600s of some incarnation or another without the transport/speaker/etc apparatus.

I saw a photo yesterday at work of Dylan recording back in the day and could swear he was singing into one of these mics.
