Post by calaverasgrandes » Sat Dec 25, 2010 2:25 pm

I got a nice Weller temperature controlled iron and a Couch vegan guitar strap. Oh yeah a Korg clip on tuner.

My 4 year old waking me up with :

"I love you Daddy"

No material thing can possibly supplant that.

Happy Holidays!!!

Nothin yet I stayed home for Christmas due to weather and no one to watch the cats. Got my wife an iPad though, which is pretty sweet. About ready to get myself a new computer and keys...

Oh yeah, I bought myself a macbook pro 15". That was more of a birthday gift, but its two weeks before xmass so it kinda counts for both. Cost enough!

Wow, I saw a Francis Bacon show at the Moma? I think in NYC last year or so. Liked his middle period stuff. I scored some computer nerd books.

Probably the best present I've gotten in a long time, a Casiotone MT-500 that belonged to my wife's brother and has been sitting in his old room at his parents house for, I'm guessing, decades. It was a collaborative effort between him and my father-in-law, who was supposed to be my Secret Santa (they do that in my wife's family) but had forgotten to get me anything. I was, needless to say, very psyched to get this. Among other things, receiving a useful hand-me-down really was a shining moment amongst my general depression about some of the excesses of this time of year.

The only musical gift I got was this, which is ridiculous:

I'm definitely going to use the snare from it!

No gear, but I got a set of stainless steel cookware from my mom, PS3 game from my sister, 2 records (Beulah and Clem Snide), a penne press, a jacket, and The League Season 1 on Blu-Ray from my girlfriend, scarf, gloves, and pair of Levis jeans from her mom and grandmother, and an Applebee's gift card from my aunt :?: (I don't know what inspired that). My dad bought me a Corgi puppy a couple months ago...that's been the best gift!
Still waiting for a Luna reunion

The wife and I didn't do Christmas for each other this year, we adopted angels instead. Best Christmas in a long time.

I kinda like it.
Not looking forward to tempo mapping to it though.
