1. Play really fast solos- The more notes the better. Please do not concern yourself with good phrasing or timing or expression; only play the notes as fast as you can. The best place to practice these techniques is at the local music store. Ask to try out a guitar and amp, turn it up really loud and then proceed to play really really fast. I bet everyone in the store will stop and say; "Wow, he is really good, I wish I was him." The store employees will also want to become your friends. They won't be annoyed with you at all. The true musician only plays fast.

only a few???? LOL

I can seriously say, i have have seen each one of these things... except for maybe the "frown at the bass player" and that one is just funny! And I just might do it at my next show.

#18: When you fluff a chord because you're too drunk and/or stoned and/or totally in love with yourself to admit you don't know which friggin' song you're playing, simply turn in the direction of your rhythm guitarist/bassist and hold your guitar out in front of you to show him which (wrong) chord you're on. It should be easy to see across a dark, smoke-filled stage. Bonus points for attempting to disguise this move as part of your usual on-stage shtick.
