How It's Made
How It's Made
Not sure if this was posted, but I was watching the show "How Its Made" - and what did they have on? How Neumann U87s are made.
Cool, cool, cool
Cool, cool, cool

All that has been discussed and gone over a bunch of times. They get pretty in-depth over there. Sputtering is a crazy process. Out of all aspects of mic production, this one is definitely not something most of us could manage to do ourselves.

I saw it. For whatever reason I really love watching that show, and it's always exciting to see something like that pop up, or when they show guitar factories. I've seen how drums are made before but it'd be nice to see them on there too, they do a pretty good job.bradjacob wrote:Not sure if this was posted, but I was watching the show "How Its Made" - and what did they have on? They've done both drums and cymbals on there several years ago.jgimbel wrote:I've seen how drums are made before but it'd be nice to see them on there too, they do a pretty good job.

I've literally been watching it for the past few hours straight on the Science Channel. Just watched them spin aluminum pots - pretty amazing stuff.FRIZEYED wrote:greatest show ever.

Yeah, this show is great.
Saw an episode about making pedal steels the other day, it was really interesting.

I've been watching this all night again, haha. They've shown a lot of music things - cymbals, electric guitars (Godin factory), drum heads, guitar strings, and guitar amps will be on the next episode. Good stuff.

And who shows up just to the right of the video in the "suggestions" (at least when I checked if the link worked)?
