I once mixed a show.

Small stage. Dark room. Loud PA. Twelve rappers - all wearing black hoodies and jackets. No set list, no choreo, just a fustercluck on stage.

Looking at the stage, there was no way to tell who was leading the rap at any given moment, nor what mic they were using. I mixed the whole show just looking at the signal lights on the Mackie mixer.
