How long since you've latest acquired some gear?

Post by vvv » Mon Apr 04, 2011 12:49 pm

I'm made jealous by this, so I thought ...

Anywhat, I bought a Zoom R16 in August along with some cheap dynamic mics, cables and mic stands, and a Fernandes guitar in July before, and a Hartke bottom on January 4th of this year, so, eh, 90 days for me.

:twisted:
bandcamp;
blog.
I mix with olive juice.

Today... I fell off teh wagon.

Bought another display adaptor thing.

I am now mixing thru my PT HD rig... with three (yes, 3) display monitors.

55" with teh Edit window, 47" with teh Mixer window, and a small one to my right, for looking at teh plug ins up close (ohhhh they look pretty, they do...plus I can tell if I am adjusting teh right one...)

Since I picked up my modded Strat last month, I have decided to start my yearly selling "purge"... so far 2 AMEK 9098 eqs have gone out the door, and as soon as I'm through mixing these two albums on my rig... I'll look around for more victims to sell off...

My general rule is that if I have not used it for a year, it goes out the door to someone else who might use it more than me. Keeps the clutter from consuming me. And my house.

Cheers

PS I had fun mixing a couple of your songs over @ mixoff.org.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

I bought 4 sets of headphones last monday before a session that night. Mine were getting pretty beat and I didn't have the time to start soldering the connectors (again).
