I have a Schaller (floyd rose licensed) base plate that is stripped in one spot. instead of buying a $40 Heli-Coil kit for a base plate that is known to strip (and will probably require subsequent repairs when the other threads go), does anyone know if a real floyd rose base plate will work with the rest of the hardware?
I think this is the one I have:

but it's much older, probably from back when they were all zinc with no threaded inserts.
I could also buy a new Schaller base plate I guess, but I can only find one place in europe sells them and it price+shipping would be $70. And after all that it is still knowing to have problems with stripping.
