Can't you guys READ?!?

He wants to conduct an "Auto-Tune Sound Rite!" Candles, incense, peppermint, people chanting with sticks; odd-time meters (15/8, 24/16, etc.). Do NOT respond any further, and do NOT answer the phone (or you'll wind-up like Ringo almost did, with the red baloon full of paint and the bow and arrow and all of that; you'll be lucky if you _only_ lose your finger!)...

NO AUTO-TUNE SOUND RITES! They are _very_ dangerous.

In this case I think its pretty easy not to call up what you can't put down.

Hey Hey! I think he thinks you're Yanni. (Let Yanni take the insult.) And I think they'd make a delightful pair.

I get these all the time. I get phone calls like this too. 3 to 5 a week at least from random rappers.

Just wanted to report that my 2nd random rapper phone call this week came at around 3:30pm Detroit time this afternoon. The guy was apparently stationed in Guam and is in the U.S. Navy.

So much for calling a local studio!

lol

Today's random rapper- 3rd of the week- called at 11:18am this morning. From New Jersey and was a transplant from the south. Does Gospel rap...another 21 year old kid who can't play an instrument and doesn't know music theory.

Yeah, totally. An entire musical culture, that includes some of the most original voices in a generation, are all just tools. :?

Sure, they're not all good (some are terrible), but the same could be said for rock bands or concert cellists.

On a related note: if you change that sentence around a tiny bit, you could just as easily be referring to Hendrix or The Beatles.

Paul McCartney can't read music. Did I ever tell you about the time he called me and I told him to get lost? Then I went and wrote about it on a message board.

Everyone who read it treated me like I was the jackass. I still don't get it.

Random rapper of the week called this afternoon at 3:11pm. He's the next biggest thing. A Sierra Leone transplant. He says he already has a record done and is looking for someone to put it out. To which I responded, "Then why are you calling me? This is a recording studio?"
