This is definitely not a kick drum mic, but interesting on vocals nonetheless:

The "Roberts" microphone. Model 3823.

This goes nicely with my Roberts tie.

Didja listen to the e602 song? There are no effects, but compression & EQ on the vox (the lead is duped with the dupe fed in 24ms delayed), and bass.

The rest is all mic placement, with monitor bleed.

I made a recording of Jimi Tenor with a D112, it was his choice of mic and brought it with him. It sounded decent to me.
