The desk outputs at +4db...is it a general thing that desks output from the inserts at -10 or were you just estimating?

I may be wrong, just guessing. I'm pretty sure mine are -10 on the Spirit Studio but I don't use them so I'm not 100% sure. I'd check your manual.
