Anyone using the Peluso 2247SE?
I would like to hear from engineers that are using the Peluso 2247 SE. If you have hands on experience please leave your opinion about this mic. Thanks

I've got the LE too, but I've heard that the SE and the LE are extremely similar sounding. I really like me LE, but it is a little ess-y on vocals. It's extremely versatile though. I've gotten amazing acoustic guitar recordings with mine, and it works well on everything else I've used it on as well. A very balanced sound.

Both the LE and SE sound identical with the exception that the LE has a 2db higher noise floor due to the tube that is inside. As an authorized Peluso dealer we have had Peluso stereo match LE and SE mics countless times over the years.
My recommendation (and John's for that matter) is to purchase the SE not the LE as you'll pay a lower price, have a 2db lower noise floor, and have a mic a with a tube that if/when you ever need to replace won't break the bank.
All in all, the Peluso 2247SE is an excellent microphone and if you can swing it, get a stereo matched pair.
