OSP drum mics: anybody use them?

Post by Chris_Avakian » Sat Aug 13, 2011 2:27 pm

im looking for something cheap that i can use on drums. mostly to free up some 57s for other uses, and have a few mics to take out live with me. was wondering if anybody has used their kit. its basically a knock of off the shure pg series. theres a st on craigslist for super cheap, so im thinking about picking them up. i just wanted to see if anybody else has heard them, if they are decent, or not.

thank ya much!

I have a set of the OSP pencil condensers. Decent!

Although, one has a lower output than the other, and I'm pretty sure that's my fault (They were fine, but I was using them on a choir gig, and
one side took a bounce off of the stage : > o ......).

For the price, I'd say they're worth it.

Their 57 knockoff is really good. Very close to the real thing.
