You're not going to see 48vdc with a condensor mic connected. But without anything connected you do want to see that full 48 volts, or things may be a bit questionable.

Maybe buried in the specs for the mic will be a phantom power requirement?

I use the same whirlwind pads often with my sytek and phantom power, no issues on a variety of mics (not the ones you mentioned though). Just wanted to throw that out there.
