i am doing more and more mastering these days and i am generally pretty happy with what i can do sonically but as people are moving more to digital only releases and don't plan to press cds, i am needing to find a better way to output the final files for them.
i used to do all my processing with cubase and then go to CD ARCHITECT to burn the final masters with the proper sequence etc..
but - here's the issue:
if someone just wants WAV files for bandcamp/itunes - how do you embed the track names/info/listing within cubase alone? can you?
otherwise should i:
1 lay out the project in cd architect.
2 burn a master
3 rerip the master back into itunes as wav files?
that seems wrong to me.
help!!

You would just bounce out your wave file and name it. There's really no other data that can be input on a single wave file set for digital distribution.
Edit: The cd text and isrc info is written to and read from the table of contents (TOC) of the physical disc. This info will not transfer with the individual wave files when they are ripped from the disc. However the name will transfer if the disc info was initially uploaded to and then recognized by an online cd database (ie: CDDA) but that is different from cd text.
