beyer m201n(c) just stopped working!!

anyone have any suggestions on getting this up and running again. it suffered no distress... just crapped out. when i take it apart i'm getting noise through the chain all the way up to the two exposed connections on the side of the diaphragm. if i crank the gain a slight, very distorted signal passes. help me help my favourite snare mic!

I'd bet is a cold solder joint that needs a touch up.
