Weird electrolytic capacitor markings?

Post by davepinkham » Mon Nov 21, 2011 1:45 pm

Recapping my hifi and found some oddly marked Sanyo caps. They are marked as a fraction, "1/25" and ".68/25".

Should I take this to mean 1uf 25V and .68uf 25V?

yes

Depending on where they are in the circuit, I'd probably replace both with films. Those are low enough values that you should be able to find some easily.
