I'm in a pretty small room with my tape machine pretty close to my mix area. I moved the machine out of the room, but didn't like having it out of site. Would it be possible to temporarily turn off the top three fans that cool's the upper portion of the machine while recording? I'd put a switch on the machine to do this. Most of the time, the machine sits idle/on and I mix through it's electronics and back to my mixer.
Thanks,
Nate Dawson

Right, I completely understand that the cooling is important to keeping things from overheating. Just trying to quiet the machine down a little.
I'm going to check out Fry's this weekend to see what they have. The fans on my machine are rated at 115vac with a noise rating of 33dba and 56 c.f.m. output. I couldn't find any like that on their website, but maybe they have them in the store.
Thanks again,
Nate
