Hi, longtime lurker with a question. I have an older EV P.A. speaker(S-1202) and the tweeter is not working. By checking the continuity with a meter will that tell me if the diaphragm is blown or not? If it's not blown how can I use the meter to check the parts in the crossover to see if any have failed or does the fact that the crossover is still powering the woofer mean that it is O.K. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

You could check the coil of the tweeter with a meter, you should also here a small click when you meter it. This will only tell you if it has opened up, sometimes they heat up and burn the insulation for the coil thus shorting it out.
Do you have another speaker like it? I would try swapping the tweeter, if the problem moves with the tweeter then its bad, if the new tweeter in this same cab does not work, then its the crossover.
If you have a crossover problem with a tweeter, its normally a cap gone bad. Unless the cap is shorted (And it does happen) you wont be able to use an ohm meter to check it. You will need a capacitance meter. If the woofer is still working, this does not indicate a good crossover. If there are components in it for the woofer they can be fine.
