guitar trem pedals - review?
Anyone have experience with the Pyle PPDLUT1 or JOYO JF-9 tremolo pedals? Particularly how the tone stacks up against the Boss or MXR trems? Both are inexpensive, and I'm not familiar with either brand.

Nope sorry. To tell the truth, i was hoping you were going to ask what trems people liked best. I'm totally sold on the goatkeeper. It's pricey, but it does some really cool sounds that i haven't heard any other trem do, my second choice is the guyatone ultrem.
I hear good things about the danelectro trems, but haven't used one.

I found this nice a/b (or, rather an a/b/c/d) of 4 different pedals on youtube:

it's making me like that cusak tap-a-whirl.

I've got the Danelectro Tuna Melt and rate it highly for such a budget pedal. I bought it to use with my Pianet T electric piano, but it's equally useful on guitar. I'm a fan of the hard/soft switch for those DJ-mixer-transformer / pickup-selector-switch on/off effects when in hard mode.blungo2 wrote: I hear good things about the danelectro trems, but haven't used one.
Demo on youtube which gives a good idea of the sounds it can do : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtA9quZstLs

funny enough i bough a dunlop ts-1 (same thing as the mxr trem/pan but older version) to use with my hohner pianet t !! i love that it does stereo panning which on an electric piano is a must in my opinion. warm term tones available as well
The Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter satisfies my needs. I listened to demos of them all and it does different envelopes really well and stutters like anything. I got it because I miss the tremolo on the AC-15 I used to have, and I use the Shape Shifter for that and other things all the time now. I think it hits a sweet spot of price and features. The Seek Trem is cool but it sacrifices some of the EZ envelope shaping tools in order to have that sequencer. It was also a lot more expensive.
