Analog Delay Pedal Suggestions
Maybe something under $350?
Delay time isn't really a concern, but sound quality is!
Rawk.

Strymon El Capistan. Anything that this company makes is fucking unreal. I bought the El Capistan to temporarily replace my busted Echoplex (EP-3) and to DEFINITELY replace my 1999 Line 6 DL-4. The El Capistan is so great in both my pedal board and the studio. I've going to use it for all of the vocal delay on my band's debut EP that I'm about to mix.

EH Memory Man
MXR Carbon Copy
Ibanez AD9 (haven't played the Keely one, but the regular one is great)
I've heard the Strymon stuff is awesome, but no experience.
DMM is my favorite.
EDIT: I had the Malekko 616 for a bit... also very nice. I bit too dark for me (totally a context thing though). The vibrato is really cool on that. I like the sound of the repeats on the MXR pedal better, but the features on the 616 are more fun.

I have a Malekko Bright 600 (discontinued) that sounds great but I'm not a huge fan of dealing with the company personally, had to send it back to be repaired and to make a long story short they definitely rubbed me the wrong way (but the pedal works now).
If you are handy with DIY maybe check out the Build your own clone analog delay pedal?

That thing looks quite awesome and really versatile,, I found a pretty sweet demo of it on the 'ol youtube,, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYda1k6AZuoThe El Capistan is so great in both my pedal board and the studio.
Ahem, send me some samples! An A Capella vocal stem perhaps? Man, that would be killer.I've going to use it for all of the vocal delay on my band's debut EP that I'm about to mix.

Sometimes just hammering on the switch a bunch of times will work that out.iamthecosmos wrote:I bought a Memory Boy due to it being cheap, but I've found it to be pretty good. On vocals too.
Now, if someone could tell me how to make it stop making a loud THUNK sound through the amp when switching it on and off I'd upgrade my opinion of it to awesome.
